Options Exercised

Carnival Corporation has exercised two options with Fincantieri and extended a third. An option for a 130,000-ton, 3,652-passenger ship for Carnival Cruise Lines for delivery in 2010 was turned into a firm order. The ship will be a sister ship to the first yet unnamed ship in the new class to be delivered in 2009. The all-in cost provided by Carnival is $565 million

Carnival also confirmed an option for Costa Crociere for a second 92,500-ton, 2,250-passenger ship for delivery in 2010. The cost is $546 million. She will be a sister ship to another 2,250-passenger ship slated to enter service in 2009.

In addition, an option for a second Signature-class vessel for Holland America Line was extended to 2010. The first ship in the new class, the 86,000-ton, 2,044-passenger Eurodam, will be delivered in 2008.
