Pride Delivery Delayed

Bearing problems have caused the delayed delivery Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of Hawaii.

Problems showed up during sea trials, after which the bearings were replaced, only to fail again.

The Pride moved from Meyer Werft to Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven to have the bearings replaced, and she was still there at press time.

The Pride of Hawaii is expected to maintain her original schedule, however, which calls for her to be christened in Los Angeles on May 20, followed by her first revenue cruise on May 22, and Hawaii service starting June 5.
