AMCV Consolidates

American Classic Voyages is consolidating management of its two subsidiaries, American Hawaii Cruises and Delta Queen Steamboat Company in New Orleans.

Tony McKinnon, President of American Hawaii, becomes the President of both brands, effective June 12, succeeding Jeff Krida, who has been President of Delta Queen, and has resigned.

Russel Varvel, Sr. V.P. of Sales for Delta Queen, becomes Executive V .P. of Sales for both brands, while AMCV also ponders filling a new position, Sr. V.P. of Marketing, in the near future.

Scott Young, formerly Executive V.P. for Delta Queen, becomes Chief Operating Officer for both brands.

P.J. Sherban, V.P. of Sales for American Hawaii, resigned in March, and Jim German, V.P. of Marketing for Delta Queen, resigned in April.

Meanwhile, AMCV will continue to maintain separate reservations and accounting offices in Chicago for American Hawaii and in New Orleans for Delta Queen, and separate field sales organizations.
