Carnival Cruise Lines is chartering the 1,146-passenger Festivale to Dolphin Cruise Line which will rename her the Islandbreeze and is launching two- and five-night cruises from New York, beginning May 10.

Following the summer program, the lslandbreeze will sail seven-day Panama Canal cruises from Montego Bay.

Cunard Line is taking the Sagafjord out of regular service in September and said it is reviewing a range of options, including private charters. Cunard said the 589-passenger ship was not profitable.

Kloster Cruise has sold Royal Cruise Line’s Star Odyssey for $55 million to Fred Olsen.

The 1932-built Britanis has been tied up at the Port of Tampa since Oct. 24 and is reportedly for sale. The Britanis was leased in 1994 by the U.S. Military Sea Lift Command via a long-term charter from the ship’s owner, Celebrity Cruises.
