Starlite to Reposition Empress to Singapore

Starlite Cruises has announced that the 600-passenger Empress, which suspended Mexican Riviera cruises earlier this month, citing lack of demand, will be re-positioned to Singapore for short cruise service from that port to Indonesia and Malaysia. Cruises are scheduled to begin on December 10.

Starlite said that it is planning several programs for the Far East, including cruise service from Korea in the spring of 1992. Most passengers are expected to be predominantly from the Far East and Australia.
