Will the United States Stay Afloat?

United States Cruises has signed a $195 million contract with the Alabama Drydock and Shipping Company, according to the most recent statement from the line. A spokesperson there said that the entire refurbishment will now take place in the United States, rather than in the U.S. and Germany, as was originally planned. Scheduled date of delivery at this time is third quarter, 1987. However, the entire project reportedly still is pending the approval of Title XI financing.
