NorthStar Point of Sale System for Harvest Caye

Custom Business Solutions (CBS) today announced it had installed its NorthStar point-of-sale system on Harvest Caye, Norwegian Cruise Line Holding’s newest private destination.

CBS said the system connects the destination to the ship, and is used for guest, server and kiosk ordering in four restaurants, in addition to poolside and villa service.

In 2015, CBS installed its NorthStar system in several dining options on the Norwegian Escape, beginning a partnership with cruise line that has now expanded to Harvest Caye, according to a prepared statement.

On Harvest Caye, the NorthStar system will be utilized in the two-story indoor/outdoor LandShark Bar and Grill, the Laughing Bird Bar and Grill serving the beach, the Manatee Marina Bar & Grill serving the marina area of the island, and the Horse-Eye Jack Bar & Grill servicing the island’s cabanas and the pool.

More than 100 tablets will be used in the installation including guest-facing ordering, server use and kiosks. At each dining options or kiosk, the NorthStar system authenticates the age of the guest and allows them to order food and beverages at their own pace and tracks charges through the ship’s folio system.

“By creating their own port of call, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. is once again leading the industry by delivering the ultimate guest experience. We are honored to be the technology partner that has helped the company create a fully customized guest experience on an island with our cloud-based POS,” said Art Julian, CEO of Custom Business Solutions.
