Seabourn has updated its inclusive wine collection onboard.
Following a 12-month search, the collection now covers more than 40 wines from 10 countries, each selected for its craftsmanship, character and story, as well as wines created specifically for Seabourn guests.
The collection is part of the brand’s broader Earth & Ocean philosophy, which explores the connection between place and flavor through the terroir of the land and merroir of the sea, as the company describes it.
Selections vary by region and sailing, complementing the cuisine and the places the ships explore, with sommeliers to guide guests toward discoveries suited to the meal and the moment.
“Wine has an extraordinary ability to tell a story. With this collection, we wanted every glass to offer guests another opportunity for discovery, whether through the story of a vineyard, generations of craftsmanship or a beautiful pairing that brings a destination to life,” said Michael Stendebach, senior vice president, guest experience & product development for Seabourn.
“Our new inclusive wine collection brings together familiar names and unexpected finds, all selected to complement the way our guests dine and explore with Seabourn.”
The wine collection takes guests on a wine journey from the slopes of Germany’s Mosel Valley and the limestone soils of Burgundy to the volcanic vineyards of Campania, the Mediterranean vineyards of Spain, coastal New Zealand, South Africa, Chile and California.
Additionally, winemakers in California and Washington State developed wines specifically for the cruise line.
Flanagan Wines in Sonoma created Beauty of Three Cabernet Sauvignon and Beauty of Three Chardonnay for Seabourn, as well as Riley’s Row Sauvignon Blanc, named for the first vines planted by proprietor Eric Flanagan’s daughter Riley.
In Washington’s Yakima Valley, Seabourn worked with Four Feathers Wine Services to develop Fluency Brut Rosé, and a bespoke Dark Rock Red Blend.
