Poseidon Expeditions has appointed Vladislav Saveliev as head of business development for the UK.

Joining in November, Saveliev will lead Poseidon’s UK business development strategy, focusing on growing revenue, distribution and market presence.

The company said in a press release that the appointment comes at a pivotal time for Poseidon Expeditions, as the company builds its new expedition vessel and continues to expand its global presence.

Angelica Vorea, CEO of Poseidon Expeditions, said: “We are delighted to welcome Saveliev to the team. The UK travel trade remains central to our commercial strategy, and his experience will be invaluable as we grow our distribution and strengthen our position in the expedition sector.”

Saveliev said: “I am excited to join Poseidon Expeditions at such an important stage in the company’s development. Trade partnerships are at the core of our focus, and I look forward to working closely with our valued partners across the UK to build lasting, collaborative relationships.”

Saveliev joins from Ponant Explorations Group, where he spent over seven years developing commercial sales across the South and Midlands of the UK and was most recently promoted to national business development manager.

Previously, Saveliev worked with small-group adventure travel operator G Adventures, starting as a reservations agent (GCO) and progressing to area sales representative (GPS), where he developed trade sales in the South East.
