National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has announced the second part of voyages in its 2028–29 deployment.
Building on the first part announced in August, the newly released itineraries expand exploration in destinations including the Galápagos, Baja California, the Amazon and Egypt.
“Every destination has its own rhythm, and our job is to design the voyage in concert with it. We’re constantly looking for ways to give guests more depth, more access and more opportunities to explore actively,” said Trey Byus, chief expedition officer, Lindblad Expeditions.
“The 2028–29 deployment reflects that approach, with new combinations, extended itineraries and intimate vessels that allow guests to experience these places in ways larger ships simply cannot. That might mean spending more time in the Galápagos, exploring the Amazon by skiff and kayak, or seamlessly connecting Costa Rica and Panama in one continuous expedition.”
Galápagos and Peru
Eight Galápagos itineraries range from seven to 17 days aboard four ships: the National Geographic Endeavour II, Islander II, Gemini and Delfina.
Guests will also be able to choose one continuous land-and-sea journey in 2029 on the “Peru and Galápagos Escape” itinerary: after exploring Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, they continue to the Galápagos for active exploration, wildlife encounters and snorkeling.
Costa Rica and Panama
A new 15-day “Epic Costa Rica and Panama” itinerary connects Costa Rica’s Pacific wilderness and Guanacaste highlands with Panama’s rainforests, Pearl Islands and Canal, while an expanded eight-day Guanacaste itinerary offers more time to explore the region’s landscapes, wildlife and culture.
Amazon
Available from November 2028 through October 2029, the “Upper Amazon: A River Expedition” itinerary explores the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve aboard the Delfin II and Delfin III.
Baja California
Guests can explore Baja California on several itineraries.
“Baja California Discovery: Exploring Mexico’s Gulf of California” explores the region’s interconnected desert-and-sea ecosystem aboard the National Geographic Quest, while “Baja California: Among the Great Whales” focuses on seasonal encounters with gray whales in the lagoons.
This is paired with a festive season departure, “Baja California Holiday: A Living Sea and Desert Isles.”
Egypt
The “Passage Through Egypt Aboard Oberoi Philae” itinerary connects Cairo to Abu Simbel aboard the 44-guest Oberoi Philae, with dedicated Egyptologists offering a deeper look at 5,000 years of Egyptian history.
