Las Palmas Cruise Port has opened a new Flemingo Duty Free Store operated by JVFA Spain Travel Retail.
The store expands the terminal’s retail offering and shopping experience for international travelers.
Las Palmas Cruise Port said in a press release that JVFA Spain Travel Retail is a joint venture between Flemingo Duty Free and Altimex S.L. and that the opening forms part of Flemingo Duty Free’s strategy to expand its presence in the Spanish cruise market and strengthen its collaboration with Global Ports Holding (GPH), the operator of Las Palmas Cruise Port.
The initiative also aims to enrich the passenger experience by integrating a retail offering into the port facilities.
According to the port, the new store will provide passengers with a selection of travel retail products, combining international categories with a commercial offering tailored to the destination.
Susana Gutierrez, managing director of GPH Canary Islands Cruise Ports, said: “The opening of this new store represents another step in our ongoing commitment to improving the passenger experience.”
“We want Las Palmas Cruise Port to be much more than a point of embarkation and disembarkation: we want it to be a modern, welcoming space connected to the destination, meeting the expectations of our visitors and helping showcase Gran Canaria to the international cruise market,” added Gutierrez.

The opening in Las Palmas forms part of this retail development initiative across Global Ports Holding’s Spanish cruise terminal network, which also includes locations such as Tarragona, Alicante, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
