Nicko Cruises has announced that health expert, lecturer and author Awai Cheung will accompany guests on three voyages aboard the Vasco da Gama.
Cheung will teach the basics of traditional Chinese movement arts, such as Tai Chi and Qigong, in workshops and practical sessions.
Selected content from his new book will complement the program. Group courses and workshops are free.
Cheung will sail on:
- The North Cape cruise from October 19 to November 3, 2026
- The Pacific voyage between Panama City and Santiago de Chile from December 12, 2026, to January 4, 2027, and
- The voyage to the South Seas from January 4 to January 22, 2027.
Norway
From Hamburg to the North Cape and back, the voyage features Bergen, the Geirangerfjord and Lofoten.
The sailing begins in Honningsvåg and sails to Trondheim, Nordfjordeid, Stavanger and Arendal.
Pacific Coast
The voyage begins in Panama City. Along the coast of Ecuador, guests will visit Guayaquil and Puerto López.
Guests will spend Christmas Eve onboard the ship, which will feature festive décor. On Christmas Day, the Peruvian Trujillo will perform for the guests.
The ship will call at ports in Peru, including Callao, Paracas Bay and Matarani, and will then sail to Arica, Chile, by New Year’s Eve. The sailing concludes in Puerto San Antonio.
South Seas
From Santiago de Chile, the ship will set course for Easter Island.
Guests will experience the volcanic landscape and the expanse of the Pacific, the Moai statues and the remote Pitcairn Islands.
Other highlights in the Tuamotu archipelago include Fakarava and Rangiroa with lagoons and coral reefs. After Raiatea, the ship will sail to Tahiti and Papeete.
