Trafalgar has announced that it is launching a search for the Godmother of its newest river ship, the Trafalgar Dreamer, ahead of her debut on the Seine in April 2027.
Through The Great Godmother Search, the company invited past guests to submit a meaningful story or memory from their travels with Trafalgar.
“Travel has a way of creating memories that stay with us long after a trip comes to an end, and those stories are at the heart of what makes the Trafalgar experience so special,” said Melissa DaSilva, deputy CEO and chief sales officer, TTC Tour Brands.
“The Great Godmother Search allows us an opportunity to celebrate the meaningful connections our guests have made through travel and invite one of those travelers to play a special role in welcoming Trafalgar Dreamer to the Seine,” added DaSilva.
“Our travel advisors are an important part of those journeys, and we wanted to recognize their role in orchestrating these memorable experiences. As we look ahead to her debut, we’re excited to celebrate the stories, experiences and relationships that have shaped Trafalgar for nearly 80 years.”
The selected Godmother will christen the Dreamer and sail on the ship’s inaugural voyage along with their travel advisor.
If the winner names a travel advisor in their application, that advisor will also receive a complimentary place on the inaugural sailing.
Trafalgar said in a press release that it encourages travel advisors to support the search for its Godmother by sharing the opportunity with their clients.
Advisors are asked not to submit entries on behalf of their guests. The search builds on a tradition Trafalgar began with the Trafalgar Verity and Reverie, when past guests Cassie Estrella-Roca and Kate McIntosh were selected as the ships’ respective Godmothers.
Eligible past Trafalgar guests can submit their stories through October 29, 2026.
The Dreamer will begin sailing on the Seine in April 2027 with the new “Best of the Seine with Paris & Normandy” itinerary.
According to the press release, guests can submit their entries and find full eligibility requirements, judging criteria and official campaign terms and conditions on the company’s website.
