Silversea’s 2026-27 Antarctica season, featuring the first departures of the Silver Endeavour from King George Island and the Silver Wind from Puerto Williams, Chile, will give guests an early preview of The Cormorant at 55 South.
Silversea will hold the official grand opening of The Cormorant at 55 South on November 5, 2026, with guests on earlier voyages enjoying an early preview.
Through March 2027, the Silver Endeavour, Wind and Cloud will operate 40 voyages, including 29 Antarctica Fly Cruise voyages, each featuring a stay at The Cormorant at 55 South.
The season’s itineraries range from six to 21 nights and extend beyond the Antarctic Peninsula to South Georgia and the Falkland Islands.
Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea, said: “The Cormorant will create a uniquely seamless journey to Antarctica, opening up a part of the world that is often difficult to explore, yet has so much to offer. We can’t wait to welcome guests to discover it at the Southernmost Hotel on Earth,” added Hernandez.
In a press release, the company said the Antarctica season will offer 29 Antarctica Fly Cruise itineraries with 14 sailings aboard the Silver Endeavor, flying guests over the Drake Passage in both directions.
Fifteen one-way sailings aboard the Silver Wind, Cloud and Endeavour will pair a flight with a crossing of the Drake Passage by ship, southbound on some departures and northbound on others.
Charter flights, expedition experiences, and Zodiac outings are included on every sailing.
Eleven voyages will take guests across the Drake Passage by sea in both directions, sailing from Puerto Williams.
Highlight itineraries include the following:
- “From the Falklands to the Peninsula”: the Silver Wind’s 18-night round-trip from Puerto Williams, departing November 7
- “South Georgia and Elephant Island”: the Silver Cloud will operate four 15-night voyages combining South Georgia, Elephant Island and the Peninsula, with its first departing on November 9
- “South of the Antarctic Circle”: the Silver Cloud’s 12-night roundtrip sails from Puerto Williams, departing December 9
- “Holidays in the South”: the Silver Wind’s 15-night holiday cruise will depart from Puerto Williams on December 22, and
- “Antarctica to Buenos Aires”: the Silver Endeavour is offering a 21-night voyage departing March 4, 2027, the season’s longest and its only sailing to end in Buenos Aires.
