Sea Cloud Cruises’ President, the Americas, Kevin Smith, will welcome guests to his first President’s Cruise in 2027.

Sailing aboard the Sea Cloud Spirit, the July 20–27, 2027, voyage taking guests from Bilbao, Spain, to Lisbon, Portugal, coincides with the first anniversary of Smith’s appointment.

Together with his wife Christina, he will join guests for dinners, evenings on deck and a special sundowner, with time to exchange stories and ideas during the voyage.

“When the crew begins setting the sails, everyone on deck looks up. It’s quite a sight and a reminder that nobody moves a ship like this forward alone,” said Smith.

“And that’s true for Sea Cloud Cruises, too. Our team makes the experience what it is, and our guests have a real part in shaping what comes next. Christina and I are looking forward to welcoming everyone aboard and spending a wonderful week together under sail.”

The itinerary includes calls at Gijón, A Coruña and Vigo in Spain and Porto (Leixões) in Portugal, with opportunities to discover Oviedo, Santiago de Compostela and the Islas Cíes, concluding with a scenic passage along the Tagus River that brings the voyage to Lisbon.

An optional July 18–20 Bilbao and Rioja pre-cruise program is also available, with details and rates upon request.

Among the voyage’s highlights is an exclusive evening at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, where guests can experience Frank Gehry’s architecture and selected artworks in a private, after-hours setting, away from the crowds.

The culinary program draws on the traditions of northern Spain and Portugal, with regional flavors such as Basque pintxos, Galician seafood and wines from Rías Baixas and the Douro Valley reflected in onboard dining and pairings.
