Royal Caribbean has announced new Japan and Asia itineraries operated by the Voyager of the Seas in spring 2028, from late February through April 2028.
The cruise line highlighted three itineraries allowing guests to explore different parts of Japan during its cherry blossom season, among other things:
- A 10-night open-jaw itinerary from Hong Kong to Tokyo: showcasing Japan’s mix of history, culture and cuisine; visiting Nagasaki, Kagoshima, with an overnight stay in Kobe, before experiencing Osaka’s food scene and continuing to Tokyo.
- Three roundtrip cruises from Tokyo – ranging from 11 to 12 nights: the cruises offer different ways to explore Japan and South Korea. Guests can experience Kobe and Osaka, discover Kumamoto, sample Fukuoka’s food culture, explore Nagasaki’s history, take in Kagoshima’s volcanic scenery and visit Sasebo, known for its coastal landscapes. Select itineraries also include calls in South Korea including Jeju (Seogwipo) and Busan. Other highlights include Mount Fuji (Shimizu), offering views of Japan’s iconic peak, and an overnight stay in Okinawa.
- A 16-night Pacific crossing from Tokyo to Seattle: the ship sails north to Sapporo (Muroran), featuring an overnight stay in Hokkaido, followed by a series of days at sea (including a crossing of the International Date Line), before arriving in Seattle, USA.
The cruises are part of the Voyager’s broader 2027-28 Asia Pacific season.
As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the season will feature two- to 16-night itineraries from Brisbane and Sydney, Australia; Singapore and Hong Kong, taking guests across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, China, Japan and South Korea.
