Princess’ 2028–29 Australia & NZ: 90 Departures, Record World Cruise

  • October 28, 2026
Emerald Princess

Princess Cruises has unveiled its 2028–29 Australia and New Zealand season and the 2029 Grand World Odyssey.

Three ships will be deployed to the region: the Emerald, Royal and Grand Princess, with the latter also operating what the cruise line said will be the longest ever roundtrip world cruise from Australia.

All voyages go on sale November 10, 2026.

“Princess Cruises has a long and proud history of inspiring guests to explore the world, and our 2028–29 season takes that spirit of discovery to extraordinary new heights,” said Jim Berra, Princess Cruises chief commercial officer.

“From the longest World Cruise ever to sail roundtrip out of Australia to an unmatched variety of voyages showcasing the beauty of Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, we’re giving guests more ways to discover remarkable destinations, immerse themselves in different cultures and see the world in new ways.”

2028–29 Australia & New Zealand

The 2028–29 Australia and New Zealand program includes 42 destinations across six countries, with 90 departures across over 70 itineraries.

Operating the voyages ranging from two to 46 nights will be three ships: the Grand Princess, Royal Princess and the Emerald Princess, with the latter returning to Australia for the first time since the 2016-17 season.

The season will also feature 17 round Australia Voyages, extended journeys showcasing Australia’s coastline and destinations.

Sailings depart from Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth (Fremantle) and Sydney.

2029 Grand World Odyssey

Sailing aboard the Grand Princess, the 129-night Grand World Odyssey spans approximately 37,300 nautical miles and visits 61 destinations across 31 countries.

Along the way, guests will experience Europe and the Mediterranean, South Pacific, the cities of the Americas, and some of the world’s most remote islands.

Guests can begin their World Cruise from Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, with an additional departure opportunity from Dover, the gateway to London.

Highlights include:

  • Visits to New York City, Miami, Reykjavik, Lisbon, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Tahiti and Auckland.
  • Two full transits through the Panama Canal’s new locks
  • Scenic cruising near Easter Island, famous for its moai statues, and Pitcairn Island, one of the world’s most isolated inhabited islands.
  • Crossing the Equator twice and the International Date Line twice.

An Early Booking Bonus on 2028-29 Australia and New Zealand voyages is available with up to $500 instant savings, up to $500 onboard credit, reduced $100 deposits, early access to dining reservations and arrival groups, a free location upgrade and up to $300 in savings for Captain’s Circle members.

The Early Booking Bonus for the 2029 Grand World Odyssey cruise includes up to $3,000 in onboard credit plus up to $2,000 in Captain’s Circle savings.

Both offers are available from November 10, 2026, through February 16, 2027.
