Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has identified an additional $100 million in expected run-rate savings and cash benefits, the company announced on its third quarter earnings call Thursday.
The new savings come from optimizing guest and crew air and refining the company’s promotional offerings.
The benefits will phase in through 2028, supporting the top line while also lowering crew-related transportation costs.
Combined with approximately $225 million identified over the prior two quarters, the latest actions bring the company’s annualized savings and cash benefits identified in 2026 to approximately $325 million, and the total identified to date to more than $600 million.
John Chidsey, CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, said the air savings would show up in both revenue and costs.
Mark Kempa, executive vice president and CFO, explained that the promotional changes were made earlier this year, but the benefits take time to materialize because many guests had already booked under the existing air program.
He added that the company expects to see more of the crew-side benefit in 2027. Kempa declined to say how the savings would split between revenue and costs.
The company said more savings are on the way.
Management pointed to outsourcing select shoreside support activities, strategic sourcing and the use of AI as further opportunities.
“We do have line of sight of further incremental cost savings for next year,” Kempa said.
