The 2026 edition of the Maritime Fair in Turku, Finland, will take place October 29–30.
Organized by the Aboa Mare Maritime Academy and Training Center, the event offers opportunities for maritime professionals, shipping companies, authorities, manufacturers, service providers, instructors and students to gain insights into the latest developments in the maritime industry.
Around 60 exhibitors are expected to attend, including most of Finland’s shipping companies, two years after the last edition was held, according to a press release.
The theme of the first seminar day (Students and Career Pathways) highlights career opportunities for students, while the second day (Industry and Exhibitor Day) focuses on innovation, digitalization, smart ports, sustainability and current challenges facing global shipping.
Speed Networking will also be available, creating opportunities for meetings between exhibiting organizations and students.
Visitors will also be able to join guided tours of Aboa Mare’s simulator department, including a new Kongsberg engine room simulator featuring a complete fuel system for methanol and battery-powered hybrid solutions and updated bridge simulators.
In addition to career opportunities, the second day will also include the presentation “Controlling Complex Port Operations: Lessons from Ferry Terminal Turku.”
Hanna Roihuvaara and Mike Karjagin from Weasel Port Solutions (WPS) will use the Turku Ferry Terminal as a concrete example of the development of a new type of shared ferry terminal environment.
During the second day, Captain Mikael Hildén of AMH Maritime will lead a panel discussion on Russia’s shadow fleet, exploring issues related to safety, surveillance and the future development of traffic in the Baltic Sea.
Opening hours:
- October 29: 9 AM – 5 PM
- October 30: 9 AM – 3 PM
Admission to both the exhibition and seminar program is free of charge.
