Marella Cruises has announced its summer 2028 cruise program.
Highlights include a new Greek port, Patras, which will feature on the new “Grecian Gems” itinerary aboard the Marella Explorer sailing from its homeport of Corfu from July 2028.
This is one of the six new itineraries on offer, which will also include four repositioning cruises.
The second new itinerary is “Spanish Shores,” a seven-night cruise aboard the Marella Explorer 2 sailing roundtrip from its homeport of Malaga, Spain, starting from June 2028.
This sailing will include visits to Gibraltar; Ibiza Town; Mahon, Menorca; Palma, Majorca; Cartagena, Spain, and a day at sea.
“We’re building on the continued popularity of our core homeports for Summer 2028. Demand for our Eastern Mediterranean Cruises remains strong, with Summer 2027 already ahead of last year. We’re also returning to Malaga for another summer season following the success of previous sailings from the region,” said Chris Hackney, CEO at Marella Cruises.
“We’re always looking for opportunities to offer customers new destinations and Patras is an exciting addition to our program. Alongside new itineraries and expanded cruise and stay options, Summer 2028 will give customers even more choice when planning their next cruise.”
There will also be four new repositioning cruises from April 2028 on offer, which will include special guest speakers and additional shows, among other things.
They are:
- “Sail into Spring” (the Marella Explorer) – a 10-night sailing from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to Corfu and an 11-night sailing from Santa Cruz, Tenerife to Corfu;
- “Flavors of the Mediterranean” (the Marella Discovery 2) – a five-night cruise from Palma to Dubrovnik;
- “Transatlantic Treasures” (the Marella Explorer 2) – a 13-night sailing from Barbados to Malaga, and
- “Atlantic Horizons” (the Marella Voyager) – a 13-night sailing from Barbados to Palma.
The rest of the fleet will homeport in Europe, including the Marella Discovery and Marella Voyager in Palma, Majorca, and the Marella Discovery 2 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
The cruise line has also expanded its cruise and stay program with 119 hotels available across Majorca, Corfu, Dubrovnik and Malaga, and sailings are available from 22 airports across the UK and ROI.
All summer sailings go on sale from October 15, 2026.
