Norwegian Cruise Line has opened for sale two new Mediterranean sailings aboard the Norwegian Aura, preceding the previously announced maiden voyage on May 21, 2027.
The cruise line said in a press release that the addition of the two sailings in early May was made possible by the anticipated early delivery of the upcoming vessel, which was floated out at Fincantieri in April.
The first is a 10-day itinerary that will depart from Trieste on May 2 and call to Dubrovnik and Split, Croatia; Bar, Montenegro; and Corfu, Santorini and Mykonos, Greece, before arriving in Athens (Piraeus).
The second is a nine-day sailing from Athens (Piraeus) on May 12 to Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini, and Corfu, Greece; Bar, Montenegro; and Split and Zadar, Croatia, before arriving in Trieste.
“The early delivery of Norwegian Aura allows us to welcome guests aboard sooner than expected and begin creating unforgettable vacation experiences earlier than planned,” said Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line.
“As our largest and most innovative ship yet, Norwegian Aura was designed to bring families and travelers of every generation together, with more freedom, choice and ways to enjoy their ideal vacation so no one has to compromise on their experience.”
Kazlauskas added that the company looks forward to welcoming first guests aboard and introducing them to the ship’s new entertainment lineup as well as dining and wellness and family-friendly experiences.
The Aura’s maiden season following the two inaugural sailings includes an additional seven-day Mediterranean voyage from Trieste, Italy, to Barcelona, Spain, on May 21, 2027, with calls to Valletta, Malta; Salerno, Italy; and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy.
After a 13-day transatlantic voyage from Barcelona to Miami, the ship will operate seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruises from Miami from June through October 2027.
The sailings will call to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay.
In winter 2027-28, the Aura will offer seven-day Western Caribbean voyages to Roatan (Islas de la Bahia), Honduras; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Harvest Caye, Belize.
Guests booking the newly added sailings can take advantage of NCL’s Fall Flash Sale, which offers 50 percent off all cruises and up to $750 onboard credit per stateroom when booking a balcony stateroom or above.
