The new Disney Believe will sail from Fort Lauderdale for its maiden season, Disney Cruise Line revealed at a special event onboard the Disney Dream.
According to Tracy Wilson, senior vice president and general manager of operations, the 2,500-passenger ship will offer a series of four- and five-night cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas from Port Everglades.
Currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard, the Wish-class ship will embark on its inaugural voyage on December 18, 2027.
“We are so excited for this ship to join the fleet and bring new Disney stories to life at sea,” Wilson said during the livestreamed event.
She noted that the new vessel will offer “unique venues, dazzling family entertainment and world-class dining.”
Disney Cruise Line also revealed more details of the ship’s public areas, which will include spaces inspired by Zootopia, Monsters Inc., Tangled, Moana, Inside Out and more.
One of the new venues will be Oaken’s Table. Inspired by Frozen and its Arendelle Kingdom, the restaurant will offer an entertainment dining experience for families.
The Disney Believe will introduce Sea Notes, a piano bar themed after The Little Mermaid and its underwater setting.
A signature accommodation in Disney’s newest ships, the Tower Suite onboard the newbuild will be inspired by Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom theme park.
As the largest suite onboard, the two-story stateroom will accommodate eight passengers, with separate living areas and bedrooms.
Disney also revealed that Buzz and Woody from Toy Story will be featured at the vessel’s stern, while Tinkerbell will adorn the stern with a special crest.
Bookings for the maiden season of the Disney Believe will open on October 19, 2026, according to Disney Cruise Line.
The 140,000-ton vessel follows the Disney Wish, the Disney Treasure and the Disney Destiny in the company’s Wish-class.
