Crucemundo is moving its entire European river cruise portfolio to an all-inclusive model in 2027, adding a renovated ship on the Danube and shifting its Rhine hub to Düsseldorf.
“We are transitioning our entire European river cruise portfolio to an all-inclusive model, making shore excursions and drinks packages complimentary across all sailings,” CEO Alexei Prokhorov told Cruise Industry News in an interview for the 2027 European River Market Report.
Every departure will include coffee and a drinks package daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., along with shore excursions in English and Spanish.
Capacity growth will come from the CruceNova, formerly the Thurgau Silence, which joins the Danube following a renovation. Prokhorov said the ship’s design isolated the engine and propulsion from passenger areas, cutting noise and vibration.
“We offer 194 passengers an exceptionally quiet, modern environment featuring outside-facing staterooms, with French balconies on the middle and upper decks,” he said.
In 2027, Crucemundo will operate the CruceNova and the Fidelio on the Danube, the CruceRio on the Rhine and the Douro Cruiser on the Douro, offering 115 departures in total.
The move from Cologne to Düsseldorf will allow the company to offer 19 Rhine departures across three seven-night itineraries: “Holland & Belgium,” “Classical Rhine” and “Romantic Moselle.”
“From a B2B and logistical standpoint, Düsseldorf is a massive win. The docks are only minutes away from one of Germany’s international airports,” Prokhorov said.
Crucemundo is also extending its Douro season into winter after a December 2025 trial departure sold out.
“Backed by that proven demand, we are officially expanding our winter program to include prime holiday sailings for Christmas and New Year’s celebrations,” Prokhorov said.
While Europe and South America remain its primary source markets, the company recently opened an office in Los Angeles and plans dedicated trade expansion into North America and Australia in 2027.
Beyond 2027, Prokhorov said Crucemundo was evaluating further vessel acquisitions and conversions to scale its presence on the Rhine and the Danube.
He pointed to ship ownership as a key differentiator.
“Owning our ships gives us direct control over every aspect of the cruise experience, from itinerary planning and onboard operations to service standards and overall quality,” he said. “We know our strengths, stay true to our identity and focus on the travelers who value a more personal, flexible and distinctive river cruise experience.”
