The Costa Favolosa recently entered drydock in the Netherlands at Damen as part of its regular maintenance schedule.
Having completed a summer schedule in Northern Europe, the 114,500-ton vessel arrived at a shipyard in Rotterdam on October 20, 2026.
The ship is now scheduled to undergo technical work before welcoming guests back in early November.
While no details of the project have been released, the ship is also expected to see upkeep of hotel spaces, with updates to soft furnishings, new carpeting and refreshed upholstery.
The 22-night cruise following the drydock will depart from Hamburg on November 8, 2026, sailing from the German port to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
The repositioning voyage starts with visits to destinations in England, the Netherlands and France before heading to Portugal, Spain and the Canary Islands.
Before arriving in its homeport for the season, the 3,012-passenger ship is also scheduled to visit destinations in the Caribbean, including Guadeloupe, Antigua and St. Kitts.
The vessel’s deployment for the 2026-27 winter includes a series of seven-night cruises that will allow guests to board in the Dominican Republic, Martinique and Guadeloupe.
The Costa Favolosa is scheduled to return to Europe in late March for a spring season sailing in the Western Mediterranean.
The deployment will be followed by a summer deployment in Northern Europe, which will include departures from Hamburg to destinations in Scandinavia, Iceland, the British Isles and more.
Built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, the Costa Favolosa completed its 15th year of service earlier this year.
The ship was welcomed into Costa Cruises’ fleet on July 2, 2011, kicking off a maiden season in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Part of the company’s Concordia-class series, the 114,500-ton vessel was the largest ship to fly the Italian flag at the time.
