The Carnival Firenze is currently operating a series of adults-only sailings on the West Coast as part of Carnival Cruise Line’s SEA Cruises initiative.
Only available for passengers who are 21 years of age or older, the cruises cater to gamblers, with a series of gaming-focused activities and initiatives.
Four SEA cruises are being offered through late November, with seven- to 14-night itineraries sailing roundtrip from Long Beach.
The first sailed from California in mid-October and is scheduled to visit Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán and Ensenada.
The Carnival Firenze will then offer a 14-night cruise that will sail to less-visited destinations in the Mexican Riviera, including Acapulco and Manzanillo.
Before returning to Long Beach, the 4,232-passenger ship will also visit Puerto Vallarta, La Paz, Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada.
Two additional SEA Cruises will be offered in November, including 11- and seven-night sailings to destinations in the region.
As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the adults-only sailings feature expanded gambling opportunities with the addition of a third casino.
The non-smoking space was created in the ship’s Tuscan Lounge and will be removed after the casino cruises.
Originally built for Costa Cruises, the Firenze usually offers two gambling areas, including a smoker-friendly main casino and a smaller, smoke-free casino.
During the SEA Cruises, passengers also take advantage of special dining menus, which reportedly offer more choice and premium options.
The Carnival Firenze is scheduled to resume its regular sailing schedule on the West Coast in late November, offering short cruises to California and Baja.
In early 2027, the ship starts a repositioning voyage ahead of offering more varied itineraries from Miami and New York City.
Before arriving at its new homeports, the 2021-built vessel marks Carnival’s return to South America with cruises visiting Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
