Xiamen wrapped up its 2026 summer cruise season on August 22 with the Star Voyager departing from Xiamen International Cruise Homeport, according to a report by Minnan Net. As of August, the port had welcomed 15 cruise calls and over 50,000 passengers.
The summer season opened with the Star Voyager arriving from Hong Kong on July 16. The Adora Mediterranea and Star Voyager then operated three more calls from Xiamen.
After the summer season, the Adora Mediterranea will start a “Maritime Silk Road” homeport season connecting five Southeast Asian countries, building on Adora Cruises’ third consecutive year of operating a Xiamen-based season.
The company said the Adora Mediterranea would operate more than 10 voyages from Xiamen in 2026, combining short, medium and long itineraries.
One key sailing for the upcoming season is the 13-day voyage departing November 7, calling at Manila (Philippines), Brunei, Sabah (Malaysia), Singapore and Nha Trang (Vietnam), before concluding in Shenzhen on November 19.
A 20-day “Nanyang Epic Song” itinerary will then depart November 30, visiting eight ports across five countries.
Xiamen’s Port Authority stated it will continue to strengthen its port infrastructure, enhance cruise offerings and further leverage the port’s Maritime Silk Road gateway for cruise itineraries.
The authority also aims to build Xiamen into a world-class cruise tourism destination, and the port has linked cruise arrivals with the city’s cultural tourism attractions.
