VIVA Cruises has unveiled the 2028 program for its VIVA Boutique line in France and Italy.
Sailing 11 months of the year, the line entails itineraries ranging from three to seven nights, operated by the Viva Beyond in France and the Viva Unique in Italy.
The former launched on the Seine this May and the latter is set to launch in 2027.
The 2028 season will bring an even bigger focus on wine, led by Romana Echensperger, one of only a few Masters of Wine worldwide, VIVA said in a press release.
Echensperger will curate the wine selection for both ships, pairing wines with the onboard menus and the regions visited. She will also join select sailings in person to host exclusive tastings and masterclasses.

Viva Unique
- “Italy for All the Senses” (seven nights, roundtrip Venice, departures starting March 2028) – a journey through the art, cuisine and culture of the Venetian Lagoon.
- “La Grande Cucina” (seven nights, Venice to Cremona, sailing October 1 to 8, 2028) – a new gourmet cruise through the culinary regions of Veneto and Emilia-Romagna will allow guests to sample Italian specialties such as Amarone, Parmigiano Reggiano and Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale.
Select sailings aboard the Viva Unique from Venice can now also be paired with a two-night extension in Verona.
The package includes two nights at an exclusive hotel with breakfast, a guided walking tour, dinner and tickets to Verona’s opera.
Viva Beyond
- “A Taste of Normandy” (seven nights, roundtrip Paris, departures starting May 2028) – a gastronomic journey through Normandy.
- “In the Light of the Impressionists” (seven nights, roundtrip Paris, departures starting April 2028) – tracing the Seine through the landscapes that inspired Monet and the Impressionists.
The Beyond will also debut its first “Champagne & Sparkling Cruise” on the Seine, sailing July 29 to August 5, 2028.
Guests will explore Champagne, Crémant and cider alongside Romana through tastings, masterclasses and specially paired menus, with excursions to the Champagne region, Monet’s garden in Giverny and the Normandy coast.
