StarCruises has announced the Star Navigator’s 2027 sailings from Keelung and Kaohsiung, which will open for booking on October 1, 2026.
Featuring 13 roundtrip itineraries ranging from two to seven nights to destinations across Japan and South Korea, the new season runs from December 11, 2026, to September 1, 2027, with Keelung serving as the ship’s main homeport and departure point.
“Both Keelung and Kaohsiung have long been important homeports for StarCruises. Through our year-round sailings, we remain committed to growing the cruise market and making cruise holidays more accessible to travelers,” said Michael Goh, president of StarDream Cruises.
“In 2027, Star Navigator will continue to sail primarily from Keelung, with additional sailings from Kaohsiung during the winter school holidays to better serve guests from central and southern regions. With itineraries ranging from short getaways to multi-destination voyages and an extended Japan cruise during the summer holidays, we are offering greater choice for different types of holidays.”
Guests can book Keelung departures through StarCruises and participating travel partners across the region, while Kaohsiung departures are available through participating national travel partners.
Okinawa Getaways
The shorter itineraries to Okinawa include:
- two-night Ishigaki Cruise
- two-night Naha Cruise
- two-night High Seas Cruise
- three-night Naha Cruise
- three-night Naha – Ishigaki Cruise
- three-night Miyakojima – Naha Cruise
- four-night Miyakojima – Naha – Ishigaki Cruise
The two-night High Seas Cruise offers an escape for guests looking for a shorter option.
A special three-night Naha New Year Cruise departing Keelung on December 31, 2026, gives guests the chance to welcome 2027 at sea.
Winter Cruises
During winter school holidays, the Star Navigator will sail from Kaohsiung from January 24 to February 4, 2027, offering two- and three-night cruises to Hong Kong and Okinawa.
The Star Navigator will be only cruise ship sailing from Kaohsiung during this period, according to the cruise line.
Five-Night Japan and South Korea Cruises
Guests looking to see more in a single holiday can choose one of five-night cruises combining destinations across Japan and South Korea:
- Busan–Sasebo–Naha (Dec. 20, 2026; Feb 21 and March 21, 2027)
- Busan–Nagasaki–Naha (May 23 and June 6, 2027)
- Jeju–Kagoshima–Naha (Apr 25; May 9; Jul 25 and Aug 15, 2027)
- Fukuoka–Nagasaki–Naha (May 2 and June 27, 2027)
- Jeju-Sasebo-Naha (Mar 14, 2027)
These voyages combine the energy of Busan, the nature of Jeju and the character of Japanese destinations including Sasebo, Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Fukuoka and Naha.
The March 21, 2027, departure offers an opportunity to experience Japan and South Korea during the cherry blossom period.
Seven-Night Japan Discovery Cruise
For the summer holidays, the Star Navigator will offer a special roundtrip seven-night cruise from Keelung departing August 1, 2027, visiting Kochi, Tokyo (via Yokohama), Shimizu and Osaka, bringing together four Japanese destinations in one journey.
