Silversea has embarked on its Grand Voyage Mediterranean 2026, a 50-day journey aboard the Silver Spirit connecting Lisbon to Athens (Piraeus).
“Silversea’s Grand Voyages are designed to immerse guests more deeply in each destination, building the kind of moments guests remember long after a voyage ends,” said Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea.
“Whether it’s a private evening inside an ancient cistern in Istanbul, or an after-hours journey through Florence after the crowds have gone home, this kind of depth and access is what keeps guests returning to Silversea voyage after voyage.”
Sailing through November 7, the voyage spans 40 destinations, 12 countries and 48 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, pairing calls such as Istanbul, Dubrovnik, Casablanca and Barcelona with lesser-traveled stops including Volos, Gythion, Kotor and Amalfi.
The company said in a press release that the itinerary includes overnight stays in Malaga, Livorno and Istanbul, giving guests extended time ashore in three of the region’s most storied ports.
Segments of the voyage include:
- Lisbon to Barcelona
- Barcelona to Civitavecchia (Rome)
- Civitavecchia (Rome) to Fusina (Venice)
- Fusina (Venice) to Athens (Piraeus), and
- Athens (Piraeus) to Athens (Piraeus).
The company added that the voyages offer bespoke events, which include the following:
- A Renaissance Journey, from Livorno to Florence, Italy — Guests will embark on a two-day overland journey beginning at Pisa’s Piazza dei Miracoli.
- An Evening at the Şerefiye Cistern (Istanbul, Turkey) — Guests will gather inside the Şerefiye Cistern for an exclusive evening of music and dining.
Onboard highlights include expanded public spaces, revitalized interiors, and new dining concepts on the Silver Spirit.
The ship’s most distinctive addition is Riviera, a new open-air poolside concept inspired by the golden age of Mediterranean travel.
Silversea has also confirmed additional Grand Voyages through 2028, including the Grand Voyage Mediterranean 2027 aboard the Silver Dawn, the Grand Voyage Asia 2028 aboard the Silver Muse and the Grand Voyage South America 2028 aboard the Silver Ray.
