PromoAção Events’ management team was recently at MSC Cruises’ Geneva headquarters to meet with the company’s global leadership team.
Organizing theme cruises for the Brazilian market, the company said the meeting is part of its international expansion strategy.
PromoAção’s Vice President, Bruno Ribeiro, and the company’s Co-Owner and Founder, Edu Cristofaro, were joined by MSC Cruises’ Global CEO, Gianni Onorato. The company’s former President for North America, Roberto Fusaro, and Brazil Managing Director, Adrian Ursilli, were also present.
Chartering the MSC Divina for the first time, PromoAção plans to offer 15 theme cruises during the 2026-27 winter season in South America.
The company will operate the 3,500-passenger vessel for 47 days, organizing over 200 music acts onboard.
According to PromoAção, the new season is expected to generate revenues of nearly $70 million.
PromoAção also launched what it called its first international theme cruise for the Brazilian market, the Navio Laura Pausini.
Scheduled for early 2027, the three-night cruise will include a special onboard program highlighted by two shows from Italian singer Laura Pausini.
The company said that over 400,000 passengers have embarked on its theme cruises since it launched the concept 16 years ago.
PromoAção added that it has operated 95 chartered sailings, including theme cruises departing from Brazil and Florida.
In related news, the company recently announced the hiring of Gustavo Barbosa as Account and Business Executive.
According to the company, Barbosa will work to create a direct channel between PromoAção and travel agents in Brazil.
“I have been following the cruise market for over two decades and have always closely observed what PromoAção has built. It is a product with no direct competitor in Brazil,” he said.
The company noted that Barbosa brings nearly 25 years of cruise industry experience, with previous roles at Costa, MSC, CVC and others.
