Gopal Nagappan has been appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) across the group supporting Horizon Air Freight, Swift Marine and Delver Agents.

Gopal brings more than 25 years of leadership in logistics and supply chain technology, with experience developing digital solutions, improving operational performance and helping organizations scale through technology.

As CIO, Gopal will lead the group’s technology strategy and work closely with its leadership team to continue enhancing the systems, connectivity, and digital capabilities that support the group’s people and customers across Horizon Air Freight, Swift Marine and Delver Agents.

The group said in a statement that as it continues to grow its global cruise and marine logistics capabilities, it remains focused on strengthening the technology that connects teams, supports customers, and enables complex operations globally.

According to the statement, Gopal has focused on building technology that enables better collaboration, smarter decision-making, and stronger customer outcomes throughout his career.

“Gopal’s appointment reflects our continued commitment to building the capabilities that help simplify complex logistics, strengthen collaboration, and deliver an even better experience for the customers and partners we support around the world,” the group said.

As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, Philip Bender was recently appointed as global project logistics director in the Global Cruise Logistics division across the group. His role is effective beginning of September.
