Nor Cruises, the Norwegian startup that signed a memorandum of understanding with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) for up to five cruise ships, could be marketing its planned brand as Norsemen Cruises.

Exec Team
In addition to CEO Terje Berg Adolfsen, chairman and CFO Knut Abrahamsen, CTO Svein Eloff Pedersen, Kjetil Bogstad and Ronny Bjørnådal, the site names Bruce Nierenberg as senior advisor for U.S. operations and Christer Karlsson as executive vice president, newbuilding.
Nierenberg is a long-time cruise executive while Karlsson is former senior vice president of newbuilding at Norwegian Cruise Line and a former senior executive at Star Cruises.
Partners
Nor Cruises listed five companies as partners with their logos on company documentation, describing them only as sharing its commitment to sustainable luxury cruising.
The logos are those of classification society DNV, maritime technology group Kongsberg, Tillberg Design of Sweden, ship manager Columbia and Metizoft.
Newbuild
The company is preparing to build an all-suite, ultra-luxury product built around two accommodation categories: a 99-square-meter Celestial Oasis duplex suite with a veranda of more than 20 square meters, and a 50-square-meter, two-room Elysium Sky Suite with an 11-square-meter veranda. Other listed features include soundproof work pods, meeting rooms and Starlink connectivity.
The company said the ships will pair high-capacity battery banks with LNG engines, allowing 25 hours in port and 16 hours of slow steaming on battery power alone.
