R11 Travel and Corazul Cruceros said the Buenavista’s maiden season in Brazil will start earlier than planned.
According to a press release, the vessel is now scheduled to launch service from the Port of Santos on October 23, 2026.
After canceling its season in the Mediterranean earlier this year, Corazul was initially planning to welcome guests for its first sailing on November 6, 2026.
“Our project has been in development for approximately two and a half years and has now reached the phase where the strategy needs to come off the paper and win over the Brazilian market,” said Corazul’s COO Camille Appeldoorn.
“We are ready to offer the public of this incredible country a new cruising proposal where Corazul will be your home away from home,” he added.
Serving as the company’s commercial partner in Brazil, R11 Travel confirmed the new start date while highlighting Corazul’s all-inclusive product.
“Brazilians generally love new things, and in this sense, the Buenavista, besides marking the birth of a new company, Corazul, offers a more complete experience with beverages included and itineraries tailored for the Brazilian market,” said Ricardo Amaral, CEO of R11 Travel.
Appeldoorn noted that the Buenavista offers a variety of public areas and “feels comfortable and relaxed even on maximum occupancy.”
For its maiden season, Corazul is planning a series of three- to seven-night cruises that will sail to a range of destinations in Brazil.
Sailing from Santos and Rio de Janeiro, the Buenavista is scheduled to visit Búzios, Balneário Camboriú, Ilhabela, Cabo Frio and more.
The ship’s schedule is also highlighted by weeklong cruises that feature overnight visits to Salvador, in addition to a stop in Copacabana for Rio de Janeiro’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
Originally built for P&O Cruises in the 1990s, the Buenavista last sailed for Astro Ocean Cruises as the Piano Land.

Currently docked in Hong Kong, the 1,806-passenger vessel is said to be undergoing preparations ahead of a repositioning voyage to Brazil.
“We would have departed earlier if we could have, but the signing and the contracting have taken a little bit longer than we expected, which is fine,” Appeldoorn said in an interview.
