The Blue Zephyr kicked off its maiden season for Blue Zephyr Cruises earlier this week in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Marking the debut of the new Greek cruise line, the boutique vessel is now offering cruises to the Greek Islands and Turkey.

For the company’s inaugural voyage, the 100-passenger ship is offering the “Classic Cyclades” itinerary, which sails to six destinations in the Aegean.

According to the company, the seven-night itinerary was designed for adults seeking refined relaxation and sails to some of the most iconic destinations in the region.

After departing from the port of Lavrio, the cruise is scheduled to sail to Syros, Delos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros and Samos.

The Blue Zephyr will also visit the Turkish port of Kusadasi for shore excursions to the ancient city of Ephesus.

Extending through late October, the vessel’s inaugural season includes additional itineraries in the region, such as the “Blue Zone” voyage.

The cruise sails roundtrip from Lavrio and features visits to Mykonos, Paros, Sifnos, Ikaria, Samos and Kusadasi.

Blue Zephyr is also planning a full season for next year, with cruises departing from Lavrio scheduled to take place between April and October 2027.

According to the company, its boutique cruising product allows passengers “the privilege of quiet space, personalized attention and access to destinations that large cruise ships cannot easily reach.”

The product is said to emphasize “slow travel, cultural discovery and relaxed exploration,” with an onboard experience inspired by Greek hospitality.

The Blue Zephyr was originally built for Renaissance Cruises and sailed for a range of cruise lines over its 35-year sailing career.

As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the 1991-built vessel was sold to its new Greek owners in late 2025.

Before joining Blue Zephyr, the former Caledonian Sky was sailing for APT Touring’s Travelmarvel brand in the Mediterranean.
