The Azamara Pursuit recently completed a drydock at Seaspan’s Vancouver Drydock in Canada’s British Columbia.

In a social media update, Azamara said that the drydock was part of the vessel’s regular maintenance routine.

“While our guests usually see the Pursuit sailing from one destination to the next, a drydock offers a different look at what happens behind the scenes,” the company stated.

“It’s dedicated time for important maintenance and inspections, helping ensure the ship is ready to welcome guests back onboard,” Azamara added.

“Caring for our ships takes many people, both onboard and ashore, and we’re grateful to everyone who played a part during Pursuit’s time in Vancouver.”

The Azamara Pursuit resumed service in late August, kicking off a repositioning voyage that is sailing from North America to Asia.

Having departed from Vancouver, the 21-night itinerary includes visits to destinations in Alaska and Japan before ending in Tokyo.

The ship is scheduled to visit Ketchikan, Klawock, Icy Strait Point, Haines, Valdez, Seward, Kodiak and Dutch Harbor before crossing the Pacific.

Before ending in Tokyo, the itinerary will also feature stops at the Japanese ports of Miyako and Hitachinaka.

The Azamara Pursuit is scheduled to offer itineraries in the Far East, Southeast Asia and Australia through the end of the year.

Azamara is also preparing a major refurbishment initiative for its fleet with the Azamara Forward program.

The Azamara Quest will be the first ship to undergo a refurbishment as part of the program, debuting a series of new features ahead of its 2027 World Cruise.

In addition to upgraded public areas, updated staterooms and a fresh look, the ship will also debut a new penthouse deck. Exclusive to the Quest, the upscale accommodation area will feature 12 new suites.

The Azamara Onward will be the second ship to undergo the refit during a two-week drydock in late 2027.
