Aroya Cruises welcomed over 100 nationalities onboard the Aroya during its second summer season in the Mediterranean.
The company said in a press release that the milestone reflects its growing international appeal
Demand came from CIS markets, Turkey, Egypt, the GCC and the wider Middle East, alongside European markets including Germany and the United Kingdom.
The Aroya launched its second consecutive summer season in the Mediterranean in early June, embarking on a series of seven-night cruises to Turkey, Greece and Egypt, calling at destinations including Bodrum, Marmaris, Kas, Piraeus, Mykonos, Rhodes, Souda Bay and Alexandria.
Before repositioning to the Red Sea for a fall season, the 2017-built vessel also served as a floating hotel during the 20th Mediterranean Games in Italy.
The Aroya was docked at the Taranto Naval Base along with the cruise-ferry Romantika, for the event taking place August 21 and September 3, 2026.
Around 3,500 athletes were hosted onboard, representing 26 nations as part of the Athletes’ Village.
According to Aroya, the operation in Italy also highlighted its appeal to groups and charter partners, demonstrating the ship’s capacity to accommodate large-scale international groups.
The 150,000-ton vessel concluded its season in the Mediterranean earlier this month, embarking on a repositioning voyage to the Red Sea.
Sailing from Jeddah to Istanbul, the cruise featured visits to destinations in Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, including Bodrum, Marmaris and Sharm El Sheikh.
The Aroya is now scheduled to offer cruises from its homeport in Jeddah before returning to the Mediterranean in October, when it will operate the company’s first winter season in the region, sailing from Istanbul to Alexandria.
The company is also planning new itineraries from Istanbul starting in May 2027, including 14-night cruises to the Western Mediterranean and the Adriatic.
