Scenic Group has announced two key appointments to its U.S. and Latin America sales team.
Marilyn Cairo has been appointed vice president of sales & trade relations, reporting to Ken Muskat, president, Scenic Group (USA/LATAM), and Nicole Shrem as key & national accounts manager, reporting to Kayla Corbett, sr. director, key & national accounts.
“We are thrilled to welcome both Marilyn and Nicole to Scenic Group. As we continue to grow our presence across the U.S. and Latin America, investing in exceptional sales talent and strengthening our relationships with the travel advisor community remain critical priorities,” noted Muskat.
“Marilyn brings tremendous leadership experience, commercial expertise and a proven ability to inspire high-performing teams, while Nicole brings valuable national account experience, strong trade relationships and an impressive track record of success. Together, they add significant strength to our sales organization and our ability to support our partners throughout the region.”
With more than three decades of sales leadership experience, Cairo most recently served as vice president of sales for classic vacations, where she led Scenic’s national sales strategy across multiple distribution channels while deepening relationships with host agencies, consortia and travel advisors.
In her new role, she will oversee Scenic Group’s U.S. and Latin American sales strategy, leading the company’s regional sales organization while expanding relationships with travel advisors, host agencies, consortia and strategic trade partners.
Her previous career experience also includes executive leadership positions with brands including Sandals & Beaches Resorts, Karisma Hotels & Resorts, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts and Margaritaville Island Reserve Resorts.
“I am incredibly excited to join Scenic Group at such an important moment for the company. Scenic Group has built two remarkable brands, and what excites me most is the opportunity ahead of us. Travel advisors are at the heart of our business, and I have always believed that a brand’s success is directly correlated with the success of its travel advisor partners,” said Cairo.
“I look forward to working alongside the talented Scenic sales team, listening to our partners, and finding new ways to invest in building and strengthening relationships, and the opportunities that support mutual growth in business. With the largest expansion of new ships and destinations in Scenic Group’s 40-year history ahead of us, there could not be a more pivotal time to join the team and build what comes next together.”
Nicole Shrem joins Scenic Group from Royal Caribbean International’s national accounts department, where she served as an account executive working closely with key trade partners.
In her new role, she will focus on strengthening the company’s relationships with key and national account partners while supporting the growth of Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises & Tours throughout the region.
