Quark Expeditions has appointed Max Truen as area sales director for the South USA to lead its sales strategy, focusing on revenue growth, engagement with travel advisors, and the company’s presence and partnerships in the region.
Quark said that Truen brings more than 15 years of experience across luxury travel, hospitality, sales and strategic business development to the role. He is based in South Florida.
“Truen brings an impressive combination of luxury travel expertise, commercial leadership and a relationship-first approach that makes him an excellent addition to our sales team,” said David Marathakis, senior director of sales, Americas, groups and charters at Quark.
“The Southeast is an important market for Quark, and his experience building strong industry partnerships will be invaluable as we continue to deepen our relationships with travel advisors, expand our presence across the region and connect more travelers with the transformative power of polar travel,” added Marathakis.

Before joining Quark, Truen served as director of partnerships and customer experience at Laasy.
“I’m thrilled to join Quark Expeditions and represent a company with such a strong reputation for innovation and expertise in polar travel,” said Truen.
“I look forward to building on Quark’s relationships with the travel advisor community across the Southeast, developing new partnerships and helping advisors introduce more of their clients to the extraordinary experiences available in the polar regions.”
The company stated that outside of work, Truen enjoys spending time with his family and exploring his passion for food, standout restaurants and memorable culinary experiences.
