Construction has started on the $95 million expansion and renovation of Cruise Terminal 10 at Port Canaveral. 

Once work is completed in November 2027, the terminal will be able to accommodate some of the cruise industry’s largest ships, carrying up to 6,700 passengers, the port said in a statement. 

Totaling more than 145,000 total square feet, the redesigned terminal is set to be 30 percent larger than the existing space. 

“We’ve taken everything we’ve learned about cruise operations to create a terminal that is highly functional and visually beautiful,” said Captain John W. Murray, Port Canaveral CEO.  

“Our cruise business investments are highly focused on ensuring that guest arrivals and departures are comfortable, efficient, and above all, support the high quality experience we provide for our cruise partners and their guests.” 

The reimagined facility will feature spacious interiors with a streamlined look, colorful artwork, a glass façade that will introduce more natural light and other design elements that will create a welcoming environment for cruise guests.

Expanded security screening and luggage areas, new elevators/escalators, updated signage and HVAC systems are also being added to enhance the overall guest experience. 

The terminal is designed by Miami-based architectural firm Bermello Ajamil, with Orlando’s PCL Construction Services in charge of construction. 

The CT10 upgrades are part of the “Port Canaveral Advantage,” a five-year capital improvement program valued at nearly $1 billion that includes facilities upgrades, technology enhancements and other features across all aspects of its operations. 

The ongoing expansion of Cruise Terminal 5 and the construction of a new 13-story parking garage adjacent to Cruise Terminal 6 also form part of this program.
