Port Canaveral is celebrating the arrival of Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas for year-round operations.
In a social media post, the port said that the 2016-built vessel returned to Central Florida in early August.
The ship is now sailing what Port Canaveral called an “innovative schedule.”
Port Canaveral said the ship will offer “new two-day getaways and convenient four- and five-day voyages to week-long adventures.”
Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination in the Bahamas, will be included in all sailings, Port Canaveral added.
Before returning to Port Canaveral, the Harmony of the Seas underwent a major revitalization at a shipyard in Europe.
Part of the company’s Royal Amplified refit program, the project added new venues to the vessel’s public areas, including the Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade.
Existing spaces, such as the ship’s pool deck, were also enhanced with a new look and additional features.
The ship was also equipped with nearly 100 new staterooms, which were built in spaces previously used for technical and public facilities.
After the refit, the Harmony offered a series of weeklong cruises in the Western Mediterranean, visiting Italy, Spain and France.
In late July, the 5,558-passenger ship kicked off a repositioning voyage to North America ahead of its return to Port Canaveral.
According to Royal Caribbean’s published deployment plans, the vessel is set to continue sailing from its Florida homeport through April 2028.
The Harmony joins the Star of the Seas, the Utopia of the Seas and the Adventure of the Seas, which are also currently sailing from Port Canaveral.
The vessels offer a series of three- to eight-night itineraries to destinations in the Southern, Eastern and Western Caribbean, as well as the Bahamas.
