Nicko Cruises has highlighted its event and theme cruises in 2027.  

These cruises with a cultural, culinary or musical focus, presented in the 2027 catalogue, allow guests to get to know river regions from a different perspective.  

Traveling along the Danube, Rhine, Rhône and Seine, they combine the cruise experience onboard with selected program items on land.  

New to the program is the eight-day hiking tour along the Danube led by an experienced hiking guide aboard the Bolero in spring and autumn 2027, allowing guests to discover Central European landscapes and natural scenery.  

Highlights include the UNESCO World Heritage region of Wachau with its vineyards and vantage points, the Budapest City Forest with wide panoramic views, Vienna’s local mountains and the Ysper Gorge in Lower Austria’s Waldviertel.   

Also new is the SingAlong Advent cruise aboard the Rhein Symphonie.  

On the four-day river journey from Cologne to Mainz and back, the focus is on singing Christmas carols together and creating a special community experience.  

The journey is rounded off by visits to Christmas markets, including in Mainz and Heidelberg, as well as wintry river landscapes, castles and picturesque villages along the Rhine.  

In addition to this, guests can also join the gourmet cruise with YouDinner, while those looking for a crime-themed cruise can join the Krimi total Dinner.   

Music fans can look forward to several cruises.  

In addition to the Schlager Magic with greatest hits by Roland Kaiser and Helene Fischer, a three-day music cruise with world hits will be added to the program for the first time in 2027.  

Travelers can also experience firework displays during Rhine in Flames or bagpipes at the Basel Tattoo. 

There are also eight- to ten-day theme cruises with selected thematic focuses: The True Crime Cruise on the Rhine provides insights into true crime cases, while Wine and Pleasure tours allow guests to experience the renowned wine regions along the Rhine, the Danube and the Rhône.
