AIDA Cruises has announced two 18-day cruises aboard the AIDAluna in spring 2028, sailing from the Caribbean winter to the Northern European summer season. 

The cruises will see the company sail along the U.S. coast and through the Gulf of Mexico to Kiel for the first time, according to a company statement. 

On April 22, 2028, the AIDAluna will set sail from La Romana (Dominican Republic) on its journey to New York for the first voyage. 

Highlights include visits to Jamaica, Key West, and multi-day stays in New Orleans, Tampa and Miami, with a passage on the Mississippi as a special highlight. 

After that, the ship will set course from New York to Kiel on May 10, 2028, as part of the second journey, calling at Newport, Boston, Portland, Halifax and St. John’s. 

The ship will then sail to Reykjavík, Iceland, and stop in the Danish capital Copenhagen before arriving in Kiel on May 28, 2028. 

The two itineraries can be combined into a 36-day “globetrotter” voyage or booked with an alternative port of departure or destination in Miami, the company added. 

The price for the trip from New York via Iceland to Kiel starts from €2,070 per person at the Premium price for two-person occupancy (inside cabin IB), including a €375 Early Bird Plus discount.
