Carnival Cruise Line is offering a special solar eclipse cruise in Europe this weekend onboard the Carnival Legend.

Sailing roundtrip from Dover, the 11-night voyage will include visits to destinations in France, England, Spain, Portugal and Belgium.

After departing from its homeport in the United Kingdom, the ship is scheduled to sail to St. Peter Port, Vigo, Porto and Lisbon.

The cruise also features stops in Le Havre, Le Verdon and Zeebrugge, allowing guests to visit Paris, Bordeaux and Bruges respectively.

Part of the Carnival Journeys program, the sailing is highlighted by a series of enrichment activities and unique experiences onboard.

According to Carnival, the Legend will also be strategically positioned off the coast of Western Europe to offer guests a prime viewing opportunity for the total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026.

The company said that the location was chosen to guarantee that passengers get not only the best views but also the longest eclipse duration.

Continuing its summer deployment in the region, the Carnival Legend kicks off a ten-night cruise to the British Isles after returning to Dover.

The sailing marks the end of the ship’s schedule in Northern Europe and features visits to seven destinations in Ireland, Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The Spirit-class vessel is then scheduled to reposition to the Mediterranean for a series of nine- to 12-night cruises to Greece, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Turkey.

Sailing from Civitavecchia, the itineraries are highlighted by 13-hour visits to Istanbul, as well as stops in various islands, including Mykonos and Corfu.

In early November, the Carnival Legend returns to North America for a winter season sailing to the Western Caribbean and the Bahamas.

Sailing from Tampa, the six- to eight-night itineraries include visits to ports in Mexico, Jamaica, Belize, Honduras and more.
