Sea Cloud Cruises has announced that it is strengthening its leadership and corporate structure under a holding company and growing its leadership of Sea Cloud Cruises GmbH.

The company has appointed Kevin Herlihy as business development manager for Eastern North America. Herlihy will be based in Eastern North America and collaborate with the cruise company’s sales and leadership teams to further expand its presence throughout the region.

His work will include strengthening trade relationships, developing new partnerships, supporting existing accounts and driving brand awareness, among other things.

Herlihy brings extensive experience in the luxury travel industry and a strong track record of developing relationships with travel advisors and industry partners, the cruise company said in a statement.

His appointment comes as the company continues to build momentum in North America and deepen its relationships within the travel advisor community.

“He understands the importance of relationships, he knows how to support our advisor partners, and most importantly, he shares our passion for delivering an exceptional experience to our guests.”

In addition, Shareholder Maximilian Block joins the management team, while long-time cruise industry executive Ralph de Klijn will serve as owner’s representative.

“Sea Cloud Cruises is a strong brand with a long tradition and an exceptional product,” said Block. “With the new structure and the expanded leadership team, we are strategically positioning Sea Cloud Cruises for the next phase of development.”

The company stated in a press release that Victoria Seidel and Adam Pazdzioch will remain part of the management team. 

At the same time, Sea Cloud is expanding its business in the U.S. and other international markets:

• As previously announced, Kevin Smith has been appointed as president, the Americas
• An advisory board will support the management team on strategic issues and corporate development, and
• Heino Schmidt, a member of the shipping company Hamburg Süd management board, will serve as chairman.

Other board members include Hermann Ebel, who is moving from operational management to the board, and Oliver Förster LL.M., partner of HUTH DIETRICH HAHN Rechtsanwälte PartGmbB, Hamburg.
