Havila Voyages has appointed Melinda Martinez as business development manager, North America, expanding the company’s presence throughout the United States and Canada.

Martinez’s appointment comes as Havila Voyages continues to see momentum from the North American market.

“Martinez’s extensive experience developing strategic partnerships and growing businesses across the travel industry, combined with her passion for authentic travel experiences, makes her the ideal person to strengthen our relationship with trade partners and help introduce more travelers to the unique Havila Voyages experience,” said Matthew Valentine, global head of sales for Havila Voyages.

In her new role, Martinez will lead business development efforts in the U.S. and Canada, cultivating strategic partnerships with travel advisors, host agencies, tour operators, consortiums and key industry stakeholders.

She will focus on increasing awareness of Havila Voyages’ authentic coastal experiences while supporting the brand’s continued commercial growth in one of its fastest-growing international markets.

According to the press release, Martinez brings extensive experience spanning the travel, hospitality and technology sectors, with a deep understanding of the North American market and the evolving needs of today’s travelers.

Her career achievements include driving targeted market growth, developing high-value commercial partnerships and creating successful strategies that help global organizations strengthen their presence and connect with new audiences.
