Havila and Ocean Bottle Collaborate on a Sustainable Bottle

Havila Ocean Bottle Partnership 2026

Havila Voyages has launched a collaboration with Ocean Bottle. Guests traveling aboard the company’s fleet can now purchase a specially designed, Havila-branded Ocean Bottle in the onboard shop.

The bottle’s design celebrates the historic coastal route, featuring a map of the Norwegian coastline and key landmarks, as well as all 34 ports of call from Bergen to Kirkenes, Havila said in a press release.

“At Ocean Bottle, our mission has always been clear: to prevent plastic from reaching the ocean while driving real impact for people and the planet,” said Will Pearson, co-founder at Ocean Bottle.

“The alignment between our values and those at Havila Voyages meant this partnership felt completely natural. Together, we have an opportunity to make reuse a central part of the travel experience while creating tangible impact for coastal communities and the ocean,” added Pearson.

“Our ships glide through some of the most vulnerable ecosystems in the world, and we carry a profound responsibility to protect them,” said Lasse A. Vangstein, chief communications and sustainability officer at Havila Voyages.

“Sustainability is not a solo project. Together, we can achieve more, and this collaboration with Ocean Bottle demonstrates that tourism can serve as a catalyst for positive global change,” added Vangstein.

“Our guests don’t just take home memories of the world’s most beautiful coastal voyage; they take home a tool that can make a real difference for the planet.”

Havila added that since it has already completely banned single-use plastics across its fleet, the partnership allows guests to actively support the protection of the world’s oceans while using a functional, long-lasting souvenir.

The bottle is 100 percent dishwasher-safe, crafted from 90 percent recycled stainless steel and features a smart dual-opening system.

According to the press release, the collaboration is rooted in Havila Voyages’ core environmental strategy and goes beyond simply avoiding waste; it focuses on actively closing circular loops.

By utilizing recycled materials and intercepting new plastic waste along global coastlines, the partnership generates measurable environmental value and benefits the local collectors who gather the plastic.
