Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) has coordinated an educational visit of 21 students to the Carnival Horizon.

Organized for the second consecutive year, the initiative offered insights into Carnival Corporation, its operations and the broader cruise industry.

It included an educational session, a panel discussion on career opportunities within the cruise industry, a guided tour of the ship and lunch onboard, according to a statement.

The group comprised students from the University of Curaçao (UoC) entering their second year of the International Hospitality & Tourism Management program and first-, second-, and third-year students enrolled in either the Tourism Management or Tourism and Recreation Supervisor program the College of the Dutch Caribbean (CDC).

Additionally, a strategic meeting was held between representatives of Carnival Corporation and Curaçao during the visit.

Carnival was represented by Sarah Beth Reno, chief operations officer, and Marie McKenzie, senior vice president, government & destination affairs.

Representing Curaçao were Zulaika Mook, sector director economic development and innovation at the Ministry of Economic Development, Muryad de Bruin, director of CTB, and Humberto de Castro, director of Curaçao Ports Authority.
