Aurora Expeditions has announced that it is welcoming young adventurers aboard its expedition ships, allowing more families to explore the world’s most remote and remarkable places together.

Aurora is also now offering children aged six to 15 inclusive savings of up to 50 percent off the Best Available Fare.

“Some of life’s most meaningful lessons are learned when we step outside the classroom and experience the world for ourselves,” said Katie Malone, chief marketing officer at Aurora Expeditions.

“A child may read about a whale, a glacier or a remote community in a textbook, but seeing and experiencing these places can create a much deeper sense of curiosity, understanding and responsibility,” added Malone.

The company said in a statement that children aged six and over can now participate in its voyages by watching wildlife in its natural habitat, exploring remote coastlines by Zodiac, learning directly from local communities and listening to the insights of Aurora’s expert expedition team.

According to Aurora, expedition travel gives children the opportunity to experience the world first-hand.

According to the company’s statement, its purpose-built small ships provide an intimate environment in which families can explore together, supported by experienced expedition teams who add value to journeys, shore experiences, wildlife encounters and onboard education.
