TUI Cruises has started to offer guests an opportunity to reserve front-row seating at its theaters for an extra fee, according to a report by Schiff und Kreuzfahrten.

The German website said the service is currently available onboard the Mein Schiff 7 and could be extended to other ships.

Passengers are reportedly able to choose from two different options, including the “Showtime Front Row” and the “Showtime Plus” services.

Schiff und Kreuzfahrten said that the service carries surcharges of up to 14.5 euros per person and includes a beverage. .

In addition to securing some of the best seats in the vessel’s theater, passengers can use the included beverage voucher to choose from a selection of alcoholic drinks.

Both options are available for advance bookings: “Showtime Front Row” is said to include prime seats in the first row, while “Showtime Plus” offers seats with good views located slightly further back.

While these surcharges apply to specific seats, guests can still enjoy the vessel’s theater productions at no extra cost.

Schiff und Kreuzfahrten added that the service is considered a trial, noting that TUI Cruises had previously only offered extra-cost theater reservations for top acts on special cruises.

Having entered service in mid-2024, the Mein Schiff 7 is currently offering cruises to Northern and Western Europe.

Sailing roundtrip from ports in Germany, the ship’s itineraries are highlighted by visits to destinations in Scandinavia, the Baltic, and the North Sea.

In late July, the 2,900-passenger vessel is also scheduled to offer a unique 17-night cruise to Iceland and Svalbard.

Before repositioning to the Canary Islands for the 2026-27 winter, the Mein Schiff 7 is also scheduled to offer fall cruises in the Western Mediterranean.

As the seventh ship in TUI’s Blue Motion series, the 110,000-ton vessel was built at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland.
