StarCruises has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Golden Destinations Group aimed at strengthening Malaysia’s cruise tourism sector.
Under the deal, Golden Destinations will charter the Star Voyager for a series of five special sailings from Port Klang, Malaysia, to Phuket and Krabi, Thailand.
The two- and three-night itineraries will sail between December 5 and 22, 2026.
The signing, which took place at an industry event in Malaysia, was attended by Tiong King Sing, the country’s Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
“The charter program reflects the growing demand for cruise holidays among Malaysian travelers while reinforcing Port Klang’s position as one of the region’s leading cruise hubs,” StarCruises said in a press release.
“By combining Golden Destinations’ extensive travel distribution network with StarCruises’ well-established cruise experience, the collaboration aims to make cruise holidays even more accessible to Malaysian families, leisure travelers, corporate groups and MICE travelers.”
